About Factory Finding
We are an independent factory verification and factory finding service. We are based in Panyu, Guangzhou, and we have been working in China's manufacturing belt since 2017. We work for buyers abroad who need to know the truth about who they are dealing with in China before money leaves their account.
Why this business exists
Almost everyone else who offers to "check a factory" for a buyer also wants to sell that buyer something else: the goods, the shipping, the inspection contract, or a slice of the order. That creates an obvious conflict. If your income depends on the deal going ahead, your report has a reason to be encouraging.
We removed the conflict instead of managing it. We do not trade. We do not take commission from factories. We charge one fixed fee, paid once, by the client — and the same amount whatever we find and whichever factory you choose. The only asset this business has is that its reports can be trusted.
Our position in one sentence: we are paid to find out what is true and to show you the evidence, not to make a deal happen.
The difference between us and a trading company
This is the question worth understanding, because it decides whether a report about your supplier means anything.
A trading company earns a margin on the goods. That is not dishonest — it is simply a different business — but it means their income rises when a deal goes ahead, and their recommendation of a factory is never entirely separable from their own interest. When the same company that would handle your order also tells you the factory is a good one, you are being given a conclusion by a party with a stake in it.
We removed that stake instead of trying to manage it:

We are not against trading companies. A good one can be exactly the right answer, and plenty of buyers work with them successfully. The point is narrower than that: you should know which one you are dealing with, and the company checking the factory should have nothing to gain from the answer.
What we do — and what we deliberately do not
We do
- Visit the physical site and record what is actually there
- Establish whether a supplier is a manufacturer or an intermediary
- Find and screen factories against a photo, sample or written brief
- Deliver geo-tagged photographs, unedited video and a written objective report
- Put you in direct contact with the factory's own decision-makers
We do not
- Sell goods, or act as your buying agent or trading company
- Inspect, test or certify product quality — or pass judgement on it
- Comment on, negotiate or advise on price, MOQ or payment terms
- Guarantee product quality, price or delivery
- Handle shipping, customs or warehousing
- Accept any commission from any factory, ever
We provide information and an objective report. That is the whole product. It is also why the report is worth reading: we have no conclusion to sell you.
Where we work
We are based in Panyu District, Guangzhou, in the centre of the Greater Bay Area. We cover the whole of Guangdong's manufacturing belt — a corridor that runs from Shantou in the east to Yangjiang in the west, and north to Shaoguan. Knowing which town makes what is most of this job: one town, one product is the norm here, and the right address matters far more than the right province.

The Delta core is within a half-day's drive, so a visit usually happens within days of agreeing the scope. Trips to the far east, west and north are quoted separately and agreed before we travel.
For locations outside Guangdong — Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangsu, Shandong and beyond — we can usually still help through our own travel, quoted case by case. We will tell you honestly if we are not the right people for a particular location rather than take the fee and improvise.
How we work in practice
